A 2010 remaking by Ernest Shelton of a 1922 original concrete sculpture by Harry Weinbrenner, this one in bronze, and larger, showcasing Venice High School student Myrna Loy at 16 years old, replacing the original, which had to be removed from 2000 to 2010, after two extensive and life-affirming restoration efforts by William Van Orden in the 1980s due to countless vandalism acts that rendered the sculpture unrecognizable but still presiding over the North entrance of the main building along Venice Boulevard, and which through the 2021 Covid19 pandemic that shut down all schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District rendered Myrna the only student consistently visible on the High School campus, for passersby to enjoy as iconic and symbolic of a bygone era
